In the first stage of the procedure, the doctor collects a small amount of blood (6-18 ml) to dedicated sterile containers which are then spinned in a special centrifuge.
After a few minutes, red and white blood cells are separated from plasma, which contains platelets. In this way, a plasma with a high number of platelets is obtained, which is then used for the procedure.
The doctor administers this platelet-rich plasma using needle mesotherapy technique.
Anaesthesia is provided for the procedure, which is practically pain-free.
For optimal results, a series of treatments are usually necessary, which are performed at appropriate time intervals.
