Thread lift
The main elements that affect the tissue are cogs located on every thread. Their main task is to anchor in the tissue, which is elevated and stabilised in a new position as the threads are pulled. The threads create a scaffolding to support tissues in order to achieve a stable, permanent result.
The procedure itself is minimally invasive with a relatively short recovery time that depends on individual patient characteristics. After the procedure, redness, slight swelling or bruising can occur, which may last for a few days or more. This is caused by the fact that deeper layers of the skin are accessed. The skin may appear slightly overpulled: in some patients overcorrection is necessary (excessive pulling of the face), which may last for up to a few days. Recovery time is usually up to 2-3 weeks; however, patients can usually return to normal activity after a few days.
The facelift effect can be seen immediately after the procedure. As the threads slowly dissolve, columns of collagen and elastin fibres form along them, which provide firmness to the skin. Cog threads make it possible to conduct a full facelift, facial contouring and shaping, elevate eyebrow arches and drooping eyelids, correct the shape of the nose and raise the corners of the eyes and lips. The threads also eliminate nasolabial folds and wrinkles.
