Two weeks prior to the procedure, the following blood tests should be collected:
Surgical correction of stress urinary incontinence consists in placing a synthetic ribbon-like mesh (sling) under the urethra, which gives it adequate support.
The operation is carried out via the vaginal approach under general intravenous anaesthesia or under subarachnoid anaesthesia.
After the operation the patient stays about 1-2 days in the hospital.
